Milton council hears pushback on church relocation plan

MILTON, Ga. — During a Sept. 9 meeting of the Milton City Council, residents questioned and voiced their concerns about a church’s proposed relocation, citing the project’s size and traffic impact and saying the site was not meant for that purpose.

In December 2025, Restoration Church purchased a 30-acre property on New Providence Road as a future site for their congregation. The property is located about 1.8 miles from their current campus on Rucker Road.

Jeff Nash lives approximately 400 feet from the proposed site. He said he opposes the building of the “megachurch,” with his main concern being traffic congestion. He said the church already causes traffic issues, especially during its weekly activities and on Sundays…
