The incident unfolded at a home on Winding Down Way in Snellville. SWAT teams worked for hours to negotiate with the woman, who hasn’t been identified. Police said the woman was armed and had made threats to shoot officers.

Police said that three of the children in the home were minors and one was a young adult.

The young woman inside the home called Channel 2 Action News during the standoff and identified the woman as her mother.

Police have now identified the woman as 39-year-old Shawndia Rogers.

Channel 2′s Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Matt Johnson was at the scene Friday, where a large portion of the block was cordoned off with crime scene tape.
