Bank Robber Found Sleeping in Georgia Woman’s Home Days After Heist

Police said that Raborn threatened that he had a gun, but he never displayed it

A man suspected of robbing a bank in Georgia was found sleeping in the house of a woman he doesn’t know days after the crime, according to the police.

James Raborn, 27, allegedly passed a note to a teller demanding money at a Truist Bank on Monday in Roswell, around 20 miles north of Atlanta, according to the Roswell Police Department .

Police said that Raborn threatened that he had a gun, but he never displayed it. He had left the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Authorities were alerted Tuesday of Raborn driving on East Crossville Road, where police tried to pull him over, but he sped off. He later crashed in Mountain Park and escaped on foot.

By Wednesday night, police received cell phone data for Raborn, since he fled on foot, that indicated his phone was used in an area at Mountain Park Road.

Law enforcement returned to the area and found an “outbuilding on a nearby property with evidence that someone had recently been inside.”
