Georgia Man Allegedly Robs Bank, Flees Getaway Car With Woman Inside Then Breaks Into Home to Nap: Cops

A Georgia man suspected of robbing a bank was found sleeping in the home of an innocent woman days after he allegedly completed the heist .

James Raborn, 27, was arrested Wednesday on several charges including armed robbery, attempting to elude police, reckless driving and other charges, according to the Rosewell Police Department .

On the afternoon of Jan. 22, Raborn allegedly passed a note to a bank teller at Trust Bank in Roswell — nearly 20 miles north of Atlanta — demanding money and threatening he had a gun.

The police department said they received a 911 call about 10 minutes after the robbery. By the time they had arrived, Raborn had already fled.

Detectives were able to identify Raborn, the vehicle he was driving and the other suspect using surveillance footage from the bank and other local businesses. The next morning, police said officers located Raborn’s vehicle.

Shortly after, officers attempted to pull Raborn over, but he drove off, crashing in a nearby park before taking off on foot. Officers reportedly found a woman, 29-year-old Emily Browning, inside the crashed car. Browning allegedly participated in the bank robbery and is also facing an armed robbery charge, according to police.
