Following a recent promotion in the Georgia State Defense Force, Lt. Col. Karl Jeffrey Duff has been appointed the assistant chief of staff for the GSDF (G2) Intelligence section.
Duff previously served in the GSDF (G3) Operations section as the state anti-terrorism officer.
He was promoted from the rank of major to the rank of lieutenant colonel in 2023. He has been a soldier in the GSDF since September 2014.
Duff is also an attorney and risk consultant at Professional Liability Consultants, LLC in Canton, where he lives with his wife.
The GSDF is a component of the Georgia Department of Defense, along with the Georgia Air National Guard and Georgia Army National Guard.
