The best thing after a fun Atlanta area hike? An ice cold beer! This REI event has both.
REI is hosting a fun hiking event that ends with a beer at a local brewery — and spots are filling up fast.
On March 10, REI is hosting an event that will start with a Chattahoochee River hike and end with a beer at Pontoon Brewing in Sandy Springs. The first round is on them!
The hike through the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is rated at a fitness level 2 — which means…you can do it! Level 2 is described as, “Great for newcomers to outdoor adventures who are ready to move.”
If this is your first hike, you’ll want to bring sunscreen, hiking shoes and socks, a water bottle, and weather appropriate clothing. REI will provide the trekking poles and first aid kit.
This event only has 12 slots available, so if you’re interested you’ll want to register right away…these events always fill up fast.
Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Participants must be 21+ and have valid ID.
