Daily rain becomes the norm

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Thursday afternoon Francine downgraded to a tropical depression then to a post-tropical area of low pressure north of Jackson, Mississippi. It’ll stall over the midsouth with rain continuing to impact the region. Expect unsettled weather through the middle of next week. On Friday watch for showers and isolated strong-severe storms with threats of flash flooding and damaging winds during the afternoon and evening. Deep tropical moisture holds over the weekend which remains on the damp and dreary side with showers likely.
