Two Georgia men arrested on drug charges after traffic stop on I-65

PRICEVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — Two men from Georgia were arrested after a traffic stop led to officers finding drugs in a vehicle on Sunday.

According to the Priceville Police Department (PPD), officers pulled a vehicle over along I-65 near exit 334 for driving without taillights at night around 8:50 p.m.

Once officers made contact with the the men inside the vehicle, a drug field investigation began.

As a result of the investigation, officers located a quantity of fentanyl pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

According to PPD, Brandon Bernard Williams, 40, of Ellenwood, Georgia was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, unlawful possession of marijuana- 2nd degree, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $11,000 bond.

Priceville Police said that Kenyon Allen Banks, 39, of Stone Mountain, Georgia was also arrested and charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $500 bond and has since be released.
