Fielding Lewis DAR Celebrates the Veterans

The Fielding Lewis Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution announced that the Memorial Dog Tag American Flag is now on display in the Georgia Room at the Switzer Library, 266 Roswell Street in Marietta.

This flag is to honor active duty service members and veterans. Community members are invited to add personalized dog tags to the flag frame which will eventually create The Flag of the United States of America.

Blue dog tags may be personalized with the name of an active duty service member. White dog tags are for those who served but are not actively serving and red dog tags represent those who have served but are now deceased.

Participants can stop by the Georgia Room, where dog tags are available, and add a service member’s name to the appropriate dog tag and place on the flag. Participants can honor as many service members as they like.

The interactive display honors all service members and also brings attention to America’s upcoming Semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026, which celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
