Woodstock Honors Christmas Parade Float Winners

On Dec. 16, Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell presented trophies to the parade float winners from the 28th Annual Christmas Jubilee and Parade of Lights.

The parade, held Dec. 8, saw over 11,000 attendees, according to the city.

Most Spirited Golf Cart Award:

Kent Aabye – “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”

Most Spirited Jeep Award:

Junior Garrett – “The Spirit of Christmas & The Braves”

People’s Choice Award:

Let’s Pretend Publishing – “Sweet Treats of Christmas”

Most Original Float Award:

Chattahoochee Gold Swimming – “King Neptune & His Fishy Friends”

History & Heritage Award:

Historic Dixie Speedway & Grand Marshal Mickey Swims

Best Holiday Float Award:

Mauldin Body Shop & Towing – “Christmas Pete”

The Christmas Jubilee and Parade of Lights was made possible through sponsorships by CityVet, Harry Norman Realtors, and Bug Busters. The event is presented by the City of Woodstock and produced by Woodstock Parks and Recreation with support from Woodstock Public Works, Woodstock Police Department, and Woodstock Fire Department.
