Late Rally Falls Short Against No. 10 North Georgia in PBC Softball Semifinal

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Lander mounted a spirited seventh-inning rally but came up just short against top-seeded and No. 10 nationally ranked North Georgia, falling 7–4 in the Peach Belt Conference Softball Tournament semifinal at The Hill.

The game, which began Friday evening and was suspended after three innings due to weather, resumed Saturday with the Bearcats (25–25) trailing 3-0. Despite the uphill battle, Lander showed resilience, pushing across four runs in their final at-bat.

Senior Emily Allen sparked the comeback effort with a triple down the right-field line that plated Gracie Derrick. Sajarie Jones followed with an RBI single, and Kaitlyn DeFranco delivered a run-scoring double.
