Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Gainesville campus recently added four da Vinci 5 (dV5) surgical systems to improve patient care.
NGHS officials said NGMC Gainesville is now one of only two hospitals worldwide to have five or more dV5 robotic systems.
“We are proud that our surgeons have performed more than 700 procedures using a single dV5 at NGMC Gainesville since becoming the first hospital in Georgia to acquire the new robotic system last summer, which is more than any other hospital in the world during that time,” Parker Long, DO, OB/GYN with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group and medical director of robotic surgery at NGMC said. “That’s a testament to the hard work of our robotics teams who bring their best every day.
