CANTON, Ga. — At 71, this Georgia man is chasing a world record—one rep at a time.
Phillip Hambrick, a U.S. Army veteran and retired executive, is training five days a week in hopes of setting a Guinness World Record for bench press in his age group. His goal: to lift more than 350 pounds.
“I was determined, being retired, not to let my body go,” Hambrick said. “Fitness was part of my military life, but it became something I loved.”
