In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2025 Teacher of the Year each day! Special Education teacher BJ Mazza, a 24-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Woodstock Middle School!
“Mrs. Mazza is a dedicated and compassionate educator who exemplifies the spirt of education,” a colleague shared. “Her commitment to education is shown through her many years of service to students with significant special needs within the school district and beyond. She ensures each student is given the care, encouragement, and tools needed to learn at their own unique levels. She educates students in academic, daily living, community, and social skill instruction. She maintains a learning environment that is comforting and welcoming to students of all abilities and backgrounds. Mrs. Mazza continuously seeks out new ways to support her students while also implementing peer reviewed best practices within her classroom.”…
