The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Seeks Help Identifying This Man

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a man whose remains were found almost 12 years ago.

According to CSO, in July 2013 the sheriff’s office was notified of skeletal remains found in the woods along South Cherokee Lane, in southeast Cherokee County.

In accordance with standard investigatory procedures, the remains were sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation where the staff determined the remains were of a male with African ancestry and estimated to be about 40-60 years old.
