Slow-smoked BBQ has come to Marble Hill

Nick Boggs and Luke Phillips are “bringin’ the smoke” to the Foothills Shopping Center at the former Marble Hill Tavern location as a “quick serve” BBQ restaurant offering a menu of barbeque favorites.

Bringin’ The Smoke BBQ Restaurant had a soft opening Saturday, June 21 serving smoked pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches with sides of macaroni-and-cheese, baked beans, slaw, Brunswick stew, loaded potato salad and soft drinks to go or for dining in the restaurant. Early diners have given the food good reviews.

Nick is from Marietta and has served as a chef at Big Canoe for a year and a half. Luke is from Dahlonega where he grew up in Danny’s Restaurant in Dahlonega that was owned by his grandpa, Danny Phillips, for 41 years.

Both are real fans of BBQ.
