A husband and wife from Cleveland are dead after a crash near Clermont Saturday afternoon.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at around 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Cleveland Highway (U.S. 129) and Old Cleveland Road (Ga. 254.) Chandler Scott Partin, age 81, was reportedly driving eastbound on Old Cleveland Road, attempting to cross Cleveland Highway when his vehicle was struck in the intersection by a vehicle going northbound on Cleveland Highway.
“Based on review of surveillance video from two locations near the scene, Mr. Partin failed to stop at the stop sign on Old Cleveland Road prior to entering the intersection,” a release from the sheriff’s office said…
