Gwinnett County residents who are considering adding a four-legged “fur baby” to their family are being encouraged to look at adopting one this upcoming week.
National Adoption Week begins Monday and will last through July 27. Cumming-based Furkids Animal Rescue is teaming up with PetSmart Charities to stage some adoption events around metro Atlanta, including two in Gwinnett County, to mark the week, which is designed to highlight the need to adopt pets who are otherwise living in shelters.
