‘Give A Kid A Chance’ Events Help Families in Need Prepare for School

Many Cherokee County School District employees and students volunteered this weekend to support the community’s largest back-to-school program to support families in need.

Give A Kid A Chance (GAKAC), a longtime grassroots event now organized by CCSD partner Revolution Church, was held at two sites in Cherokee County on Saturday, along with a third location in Pickens County, to provide students in pre-K through 12th grade with free backpacks and school supplies.
