A search for a domestic assault suspect near an Oakwood apartment complex left one Hall County elementary school briefly locked down Tuesday morning.
Oakwood Police officials said officers were called to the Advenir apartment complex in the area of Martin Road and Atlanta Highway just after 10:30 a.m. to a report of a domestic fight.
“Upon arrival, the victim told officers that her boyfriend had physically attacked her, was armed, and had fled into the wood line,” Oakwood Police Lieutenant Stewart Webb said. “With the assistance of the Flowery Branch Police Department, Hall County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol we were able to set-up a perimeter in the area.”…
