In fact, a recent study conducted by Assisted Living Magazine, recognized the top 100 ‘Best Main Streets in the U.S. to Walk,’ and two of them are right here in Georgia. Coming in at #12 in the U.S., Dahlonega’s Main Street is the top Georgia Main Street for walking. Ranking beneath that, #35 in the U.S. is Blue Ridge’s E. Main Street!
Assisted Living Mag says, “People love to walk where there’s character, not just coastline.” And these two Georgia small towns definitely have tons of character. In fact, Dahlonega recently received the honor of being one of HGTV’s ‘Most Charming Small Town Downtowns’. In other words… there’s a ton of personality in these small Georgia towns!
