Gwinnett Police want to expand Situational Awareness and Crime Response Center

The Gwinnett County Police Department’s Situational Awareness and Crime Response Center helps officers be more precise in how they respond to crimes, and if police officials gets their wish, the center will grow in 2026.

County Police Chief J.D. McClure presented his department’s 2026 business plan to a citizens budget review team on Thursday. One of the department’s budget requests is $420,384 to add four more crime and intelligence analysts in the crime response center, which is also known as the SACRC.
