A new edition to the medical staff within Northeast Georgia Physicians Group’s (NGPG) Flowery Branch location brings with her a vastly growing career of experience.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Augusta University and her master’s degree from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Nurse Practioner Jessica Rowe was thrown into the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a new graduate. Working on overwhelmed hospital units at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, and then later in Florida, she took on roles far beyond the bedside. She most recently worked at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton, just eight miles from the new NGPG Flowery Branch building where she will now provide care.
Rowe said in a recent NGPG press release that she chose nursing because she wanted to make a real difference, and quickly discovered she had both the passion and the mindset for nursing. That sense of purpose only grew during a service trip to Peru, noting, “I was part of a group that provided women’s health care and wellness checks in local clinics and open-air markets, and it opened my eyes to how even the smallest amount of medical care can make a big difference.”…
