Auburn police are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that left one dead and others wounded.
The crash occurred on August 16, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., involving two vehicles at the intersection of Shug Jordan Parkway and Richland Road. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage from the crash.
The driver and passenger of one of the involved vehicles, an 82-year-old male and a 77-year-old female, required transport for serious injuries. The driver was transported to the East Alabama Medical Center by ambulance, and the passenger was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional by helicopter.
