Widow of Woodstock man killed in hit-and-run forgives driver

A Woodstock woman says she has forgiven the man responsible for the hit-and-run collision that killed her husband last year, and is now focusing her efforts on the substance the driver used before getting behind the wheel.

On March 3, 2024, 78-year-old Charles Johnson was riding his bike on Towne Lake Parkway when he was struck by a vehicle. He later died of his injuries.

Authorities determined the driver, who had left the scene, was Joseph Tillman, and that Tillman had been under the influence of alcohol and drugs…
