Holly Springs approves property tax increase

Property taxes are set to increase in the city of Holly Springs.

On Aug. 18, the Holly Springs City Council unanimously voted to increase the city’s millage rate from 4 mills to 4.945 mills for fiscal year 2026. The city’s fiscal year runs from January to December.

The maintenance and operations millage rate will increase property taxes levied by 25.35% over the rollback rate of 3.945 mills, Finance Director Denise Lamazares said…
