VIDEO: Forsyth County high school students stage walkout in response to teacher job cuts

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Forsyth County High School students staged a walkout Monday morning in response to the district’s next steps towards overcoming a $46 million budget deficit, which includes teacher job cuts.

In late July, the school board voted to ask state legislators for financial help and sent a letter to N.C. State Rep. Donny Lambeth (R-Forsyth), who said the district must “figure it out themselves.”
