Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services firefighters responded to a residential structure fire late Sunday night on Red Gate Terrace in east Cherokee.
Firefighters were dispatched at 10:42 p.m. following reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the basement of the home.
