4-H Farm Friends — A Gwinnett County Fair tradition for more than 3 decades

From scaled reptiles to farm friends, sixth-grader Logan has always found himself drawn to animals. At his first 4-H event as a volunteer, Logan cared for the day’s old baby ducklings, goats, and sheep, calling each by the names he’d given them.

4-H Farm Friends returns to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds for this year’s fair, which started Thursday and runs through Sept. 21. One of its biggest fundraisers of the year, the interactive farm life exhibit, hosted by UGA Extension and 4-H, has offered Gwinnett fairgoers the opportunity for agricultural and educational experiences for more than 30 years.
