Herbert Wofford, a resident of Landrum Circle, said when he got up about 6 a.m. Wednesday (September 10) his dogs made a quite a commotion after he let them out.
Grabbing a light, he spotted a bear tearing into a bag of garbage behind the homes at the rear of the public housing complex which sit across the street from Chattahoochee Tech.
Herbert made some noise to scare the bear away from the garbage and saw it run up a nearby tree, which he thought was odd, instead of just fleeing the area. Four other ripped-apart garbage bags from several homes were lying in the grass as well, with turned over garbage containers throughout the area…
