Waleska man sentenced to prison for attack on girlfriend

A Waleska man who pleaded guilty to strangling and assaulting his girlfriend in 2022 will serve 15 years in prison.

At a hearing on Sept. 11, Logan Ben Jordan, 24, of Waleska, entered a non-negotiated guilty plea to multiple charges, the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office announced. They are: three counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, second degree criminal damage to property, battery, simple battery and false imprisonment.

Superior Court Judge Jennifer Davis sentenced Jordan to 50 years, with the first 15 years to be served in the Georgia Department of Corrections, and the remainder on probation…
