Hall County’s tax commissioner says property tax bills, which are typically mailed out by mid-September, are now not expected to be sent until November.
The delay, according to Tax Commissioner Darla Eden, is due to adjustments to bills required by the new Georgia House Bill 581, which restricts the taxable value of residential properties.
“Our office is working diligently to ensure that property tax bill content and format comply with the new legislative requirements,” Eden said in a release Thursday morning. “Although the mailing date hasn’t been finalized, we anticipate it will be in mid-November.”…
