Hall County woman charged with arson after Saddlehorse Drive fire

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office arrested a woman on September 19 in connection with a residential fire on Saddlehorse Drive that investigators say was intentionally set.

Jamie Renee Millsap faces charges of first-degree arson, fraudulent insurance claims, and reckless conduct. Officials say the arrest followed a detailed investigation that determined the blaze was incendiary, or intentionally set. Millsap owned the home, according to Hall County fire officials.

The investigation received key support from K-9 Apollo with the Fire Marshal’s Office, along with assistance from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The case stems from a fire that broke out around 4 a.m. on August 29 in the 6200 block of Saddlehorse Drive. When fire crews arrived, they found a single-story home fully engulfed in flames.
