Girl Scout earns Bronze Award for making blankets for foster care kids

A local Girl Scout has earned a Gold Award for making and donating blankets for children in foster care.

Dayna Boone, a Junior Girl Scout from Troop 18292 in Waleska, is the fifth member of the troop to earn the award.

The bronze award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can earn. The project requires a minimum of 20 hours. Girls can earn the Bronze Award by completing a journey or leadership award, and then creating a Take Action project based on an issue in their community…
