A Gainesville man has been arrested for a second time in connection with alleged thefts from the Habitat for Humanity of Hall County ReStore.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Richard Trent Parker, age 43, who was reportedly an employee of the ReStore at the time, was first arrested on February 12, 2025 on a felony charge of theft by conversion.
“Managers at the business contacted law enforcement after discovering evidence that Mr. Parker had been taking money from daily cash receipts and using the proceeds for personal expenses,” a release from the sheriff’s office said. “The initial Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigation determined the thefts occurred between Jan. 1 and Feb. 11, 2025. The total thefts amounted to almost $10,000.”…
