Nov. 3 (UPI) — Police and firefighters in Georgia teamed up to rescue a deer found with its torso wedged tightly between the bars of a metal fence.
The Dunwoody Police Department said on social media that officers responded alongside DeKalb Fire Rescue personnel when “a local deer decided it was auditioning for the next ‘Urban Wildlife Surprise’ in the neighborhood.”
Photos from the scene show rescuers using a hydraulic rescue tool to spread the bars of the fence wide enough for the deer to squeeze out.
“The deer was safely freed back to the wooded area. The officers earned unofficial titles like ‘Bambi Bouncer’ and ‘Rodent Wrangler (of the large hoofed variety),'” the post said…
