Woodstock is set to host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11, marking a day of remembrance and honor for those who have served in the armed forces. The event, a collaborative effort by the City of Woodstock and local veterans’ organizations, will commence at 6 pm at The Chambers at City Center, per an announcement made by the city. This gathering aims to show appreciation for the service and sacrifices made by veterans of past and present wars.
According to a statement by Woodstock Special Events Coordinator Marybeth Stockdale, “Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the men and women who have defended our freedoms,” as mentioned on the City of Woodstock website. The ceremony will include a candlelight tribute, remarks from veterans’ organizations, and city officials.
