Atlanta artist Jonesy transforms a Gwinnett underpass into a work of art

The most recent project completed by Atlanta-based artist Krista M. Jones (aka Jonesy) will likely become the most-seen of any of her many works.

In October, Jones and her team put the finishing touches on “Synchronicity,” the second of two murals she designed and painted on the retaining walls along the Sugarloaf Parkway/Interstate 85 underpass, where thousands of cars pass every day. Completing the 21,000-square-foot mural was a four-year process, with the North wall completed in summer of 2024 and the South wall recently finished.
