Judge denied TPO filed against former Braselton Police Chief months before his arrest

The former Braselton Police Chief arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) on Wednesday for harassment and stalking had a temporary protective order (TPO) filed against him in August, court records show.

A Jackson County woman claimed 49-year-old Michael Steffman used Flock cameras to track her location and called her from various phone numbers.

She said he “followed me to a neighborhood and watched me go to a house. Sent me a map. Tracked me going to Gas South Arena.”
