ATLANTA, Ga. — The soft hum of early traffic and a faint chill in the air greet North Georgia this morning, but all eyes are on Tuesday’s weather shift. A cold front pushing through the Southeast will bring a quick round of showers — and a few thunderstorms — before skies clear just in time for Thanksgiving travelers hitting the road or the airport.

According to the National Weather Service in Atlanta, the city will stay dry through Monday, with highs near 70°F and plenty of sunshine. Clouds build late Monday as moisture increases from the Gulf, setting up a 60 to 90 percent chance of rain Tuesday into early Wednesday.
