Value City Furniture’s parent company has filed for bankruptcy, announcing plans to sell company assets and close additional stores, this time in North Carolina and other states.
The company, American Signature Inc., announced the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in a press release on Sunday, Nov. 23. The filings typically allow companies to reorganize with hopes of keeping businesses open and paying creditors over time, per the United States Courts.
