FBI Atlanta and the Atlanta Homeland Security Task Force say the past week has brought a series of major wins in their ongoing effort to dismantle cartel-linked drug trafficking networks operating in Georgia. Working alongside state, local, and federal partners, investigators seized massive quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl and arrested individuals tied to international drug organizations.
According to FBI Atlanta, one of the most significant operations unfolded in North Georgia, where agents intercepted more than 3,200 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed inside boxes of jalapeños shipped from Mexico.
In a separate case, FBI agents and task force partners recovered 21 kilograms of fentanyl, more than $380,000 in cash, and arrested two individuals linked to a Mexican cartel at a residence in Metro Atlanta…
