719 kilos of meth found in blackberry shipments in North Georgia

ATLANTA — FBI Atlanta, along with law enforcement partners, seized 719 kilos (1585 pounds) of crystal methamphetamine in a series of search warrants in Atlanta and Hall County on Friday, Nov. 21.

In Atlanta, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, along with assistance from the FBI and other partners, searched a home on Custer Avenue SE and discovered 419 kilos of methamphetamine hidden in a shipment of blackberries inside a refrigerated truck parked outside the home.

In Hall County, deputies from Hall County, with assistance from the FBI and other partners, located another refrigerated box truck outside a business on McEver Road. A total of 300 kilos of methamphetamine were discovered, also hidden in a shipment of blackberries…
