Family and friends of the Gainesville native and Texas attorney is now reaching one month in length, while the voluntary effort to locate him continues to intensify.
A website entitled BringCharlesHome.com is geared toward providing news, links and more updates on the continued search for Charles Hosch, the 67-year old Dallas, Texas attorney and SMU law professor who went missing after setting out to hike the Byron Herbert Reece Trail in Union County, Georgia. Hosch was last seen on November 11, 2025 at the entrance area of a walking trail.
The family of Hosch has posted on the website that a special volunteer search is planned for this weekend beginning Saturday, December 13 and lasting through Sunday, December 14. Hosch’s family is aiming to have over 100 professional search personnel from multiple multistate teams join them for the largest coordinated effort to date. An update on the website today notes that participation by search organizations is conditioned on approval of Union County.
