Gwinnett parents upset after school district curtails ‘redshirting;’ lawmaker drafting legislation

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Preschool parents in Gwinnett County are speaking out after learning their preschool children could have to start school one grade higher than they planned.

They said Gwinnett County Schools is no longer letting them “redshirt” their kids.
