Herald Notes: Cumming police chief completes FBI academy

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Cumming Police Chief P.J. Girvan became the first person in the department’s history to complete the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy.

Girvan graduated from the academy’s 296th session Dec. 11 after completing the 11-week program. The academy offered advanced training in communication, leadership and fitness.
