The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners and Board of Education recently accepted an intergovernmental agreement to share fueling sites for official vehicles and school buses.
“This is a win-win-win agreement for the County, the school system and the taxpayers of Forsyth County,” County Manager David McKee said. “It makes great economic sense for the shared fueling site partnership to allow both agencies access to key sites for fueling, ultimately resulting in cost savings for both the county and the school system.”
The agreement now allows Forsyth County access to the school system’s North Forsyth High School propane fueling station, which enables the County to refuel its new propane-fueled fleet vehicles.
“This is a smart, practical partnership,” FCS Superintendent Mitch Young said. “By working together and using the fueling locations closest to our routes, we’re saving time, reducing miles on the road, and being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.”…
