Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Elderly Man And His Dog At Georgia Dog Park

A Georgia man is facing charges for allegedly fatally shooting a man and his dog after their dogs began fighting at a dog park on Sunday, authorities said.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said 52-year-old Todd Alexander Stalcup is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Investigators say Stalcup and the victim, 70-year-old Terry Wayne Loden, who did not know one another, were walking their dogs at Simpson Park in Gainesville shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday when their dogs began fighting. Stalcup allegedly produced a handgun and shot Loden’s dog, then shot Loden…
