A warming shelter will be open in Woodstock Monday and Tuesday nights to provide a warm place for those in need when temperatures outside are forecast to be below freezing.
The Homeless Coalition of Cherokee County and churches in the Woodstock area are opening an emergency warming station Dec. 29 and Dec. 30 at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 11905 Highway 92 in the lower level of Building B, the coalition announced. Visitors are advised to follow signs to the Community Care Center.
Guests may arrive between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 29 and 30. Departure is by 8 a.m. the following morning…
