Suspect shot after trying to hit Barrow County deputy with car, sheriff’s office says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Barrow County deputy shot a suspect who allegedly tried to hit them with a car on Tuesday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident happened at around 10 a.m. in the 540 block of Mount Moriah Road, which is in unincorporated Auburn. The suspect, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
